Ava Taylor and her roommate, Lisa Merriman, are doing a daily jog, when they run into Ian Archer. Both girls have heard the various rumors about how the Gnome Helmet ended up on the flag pole, and relay the latest one to him. Ian, however, makes a joke of it, and then teases them about how they can't keep up with him, causing Ava and Lisa to chase after him. When Ian is accused of stealing Lisa's photo album, neither her or Lisa actually think Ian committed the crime. They attempt to tell him that, but were interrupted by the monitor assigned to Ian, Chelsea Sloan. Later, when Ava and Lisa return to their room, they find Ray Snider and Don Finch already in it, who then try to flirt with the girls. Lisa calls them both disgusting and threatens to call the Monitors on them, forcing them to leave. ("Monitored")
